Products: Benjamin Moore brand MooreGard, MooreLife and solid-body deck stain, Sherwin Williams Super Paint with VinylSafe colorants, Penofin deck oil

Methods: This house boasts the largest deck we have ever been asked to paint and stain. Over 1,500 square feet we painted the underside and stained the top requiring over 20 gallons of paint and stain. In addition to the large deck the clients had recently replaced all of the windows above the deck and used Azek, a vinyl building product, to trim around these windows. Painting vinyl is simple enough, any 100% acrylic paint will bind nicely to vinyl, but one must be careful to not use dark colors on vinyl as the heat absorption will cause the vinyl to warp. This posed a problem as our clients wanted to paint the trim a dark chocolate color. The solution: Sherwin Williams VinylSafe colorants. This new colorant technology reflects heat allow for use of dark colors on vinyl. This home had many other details to attend to as be including a new ironwood porch, finished with Penofin Rosewood oil, and new cedar soffits, varnished with spar varnish. With all of the little details this job presented, painting the rest of the home was simple in comparison. In the end our extensive knowledge of current paint technology allowed us to pull together all of the little details on this challenging project.

Client testimonial: Excellent. They were on-time, on-budget, professional, and did quality workmanship. They were also flexible and responsive to our schedules. We would recommend them highly, and we will definitely use them again in the future.
